Our curriculum for the Gum Tree and Waratah rooms follow an emergent curriculum with intentional teaching in fine and gross motor skills, language development and developing positive friendships with their peers. Emphasis is placed on sense of self and others, health and physical understanding, social living and learning, understanding sustainable environmental practices and the critical skills necessary for entering primary school.
We offer an exceptional transition to school program where the kindergarten teachers from the local school visit the service and where we provide the children with planned visits to Terranora Public School in the form of a formal transition program. This is in addition to each school’s own orientation program.
